PETER WILDS DESIGN +
GILD CO.

Peter Wilds Design was established in 2011. Peter's mix of unexpected elements and a layered light and textural neutral palette are hallmarks of his work. Along with touches of colour and humour, Peter draws on shapes and elements from past eras which he weaves into a personal design narrative that is rooted in an engaging contemporary story. His work has been featured in numerous national and international print and online publications such as Canadian House & Home, Style at Home, Living Etc, Rue, Gray and Casa Vogue Brazil.

Gild & Co. is a furniture and home décor boutique connecting inspired shoppers with beautiful objects. Each piece at Gild & Co. carries a unique story; where it came from, how we found it, and why we brought it into the store. Our collection of inspired modern furnishings and embellishments is rounded out with timeless antiques, fusing classic forms with modern inspiration. Gild & Co. founder, Bonnie Wilson-Renaud, has joined forces with Peter Wilds Design to transform the Kanakla Room for Homes For The Holidays.

THE KANAKLA ROOM

Holidays are about experiences that often become rituals, meaningful memory-making events that invite us to come together. Cecil Green Park House is a building that holds many memories. You feel its history as you approach and as you enter through its doors. The architectural details exude a warmth and grandeur that is ideal for experiences that celebrate community, joy, and love.

With select pieces from Gild & Co, Inform Interiors, Livingspace, Provide, Salari Fine Carpets, and Vancouver Special, our intention is to create a room that evokes the spirit of celebration and that offers an invitation to gather.

A SPECIAL GATHERING PLACE

We are drawing from the warm tones of wood, burnished brass and the natural textiles of wool and linen. Classic and timeless furniture shapes will live harmoniously with modern pieces. A palette of soft neutrals and moody winter shades will provide a backdrop for a variety of festive plant material from The Flower Factory. This room will offer many excellent perches from which to appreciate the art of Gabryel Harrison as it punctuates the dynamic exuberance of nature and the critical role it plays in our well-being. We invite you to take part in what is fundamental to all of us during the holidays and everyday and that is coming together to truly, and joyously, be with each other.
